What is EduCare?
EduCare was set up eight years ago to help educate young people in developing nations.
EduCare provides financial assistance for this education within a recipient’s own country.
We are currently educating young people in Kenya, Cambodia and Vanuatu.
Meet Grace
An EduCare success story, Grace studied a Social Work degree and Family and Child Health.
Grace is passionate about the welfare of children that live on the streets of Kenya and reuniting them with family.
She also volunteers at a Maternity hospital encouraging mothers to look after their children.

EduCare Founder
Jeannie Barton, a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Child Health Nurse with a Diploma in Counselling, spent time in Kenya working as a Child Health Nurse. It soon became evident there was a real need for young people to obtain tertiary training, if they were to ever overcome the cycle of poverty, so prevalent in Kenya.
This need prompted the establishment of a not-for-profit charity, registered in Australia. A management committee was also formed to oversee the venture under the name, EduCare.

EduCare recipients are hand picked, proving themselves to be committed, energetic and determined to succeed.
The vision of these young men and women is evident. Given the means to gain a skill which allows them to become self-sufficient, they share joyfully the blessings they have received with their wider family and community.
They have the determination to succeed, they just require the funding to enable them to try.
EduCare is making a difference. The cycle of poverty is being conquered; self esteem is emerging along with real hope for a brighter future for these committed young people and their families. The results are thrilling to witness!
